african mask
this week in geography class we started our work with making maps of the middle east. these maps are very labor intensive and take a long time i have not finished either of them yet but i will do that after i finish this. we also presented our African masks which was very time consuming and took two whole days. some of them were very nice others were not as nice but overall i think they were all pretty good. last night i went to a play called "The learned women" it was a comedy about a girl wanting to marry a boy but her mother did not approve of the match but the dad did so it was a struggle to see who she would get married to.

first week back
this week in geography class we took a unit test over Africa. we also watched a very interesting video about Darfur it was about a U.N. observer taking pictures in Darfur and showing pictures of all the terrible things that happened. overall i thought the movie was very good but it was also very disturbing to see all the mutilated corpses in the video. this weekend i have mountains of homework i do hope i can finish so i can have some free time!

This week in geography class we are taking notes on a movie called "Ghosts of Rwanda" it is about the genocide that happened in Rwanda during the mid-'90's. The genocide was committed by the Hutu. I just moved here from Illinois during the month of January, I am very interested in the culture of Taiwan and would love to learn more.
